ACTS2: A Christian Team in Schools

Values statement

The Council of Reference aims to build ACTS2 so that we:

  • Honour God and follow His leading.
  • Create and maintain a good reputation.
  • Sustain high standards in training and leading worship at assemblies, teaching RE and other work in schools.
  • Serve our teams and intercessors efficiently and faithfully.
  • Build up and develop Christ honouring relationships between team members, the Church and schools.

ACTS2 aims to ensure that:

  • Team members are supported by their Minister, Vicar, Church Leader in their application to be team members prior to their commissioning.
  • Team members are trained through the ACTS2 training process attending all of the training events planned and advertised unless forced to send apologies due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Team members have been through the CRB process.
  • The Council of Reference represents the Church in the City and is cross denominational.
  • The support of the local SACRE is received for the ACTS2 groups work in the schools.
  • The appropriate records are kept of the worship and that a copy be given / made available to the school.
  • Regular feedback is sought from the schools on an annual basis.
  • An annual audit of team members and their church membership is carried out by the Council of Reference
  • The Church locally commissions the ACTS2 members into their work.

The team is always a big hit! The children enjoy the format and always understand the message of the assembly.
