Host: Welcome back to the semi-final of X-Factor for the Birds! After all those exhausting auditions and shows we are down to our final 3 birds. First bird up is Robin Redbreast

Host: Thank you Robin – well judges what did you think of that?
Judges: Very tuneful/pure/clear
Host: Great comments Robin! Next up is Bella Bluetit

Host: Thank you Bella – over to you judges.
Judges: Sweet sound and gorgeous looking – love the blue and yellow!
Host: Well, Bella, you do look stunning today.
And lastly, but not least, is Sammy Sparrow.

Host: Thank you Sammy … your thoughts judges?
Judges: Bit monotonous/boring/dull
Host: Ooh, Sammy, that was a bit harsh …
Well, that's it! Robin, Bella and Sammy have done all they can. The viewers at home have got you this far in the competition, but now …

Reflection
Ah, poor Sammy. Being sent home. Just because he is not as beautiful as Bella … or as tuneful as Robin …
There is something about reality shows that makes me uncomfortable. Especially when people are made fun of, it isn't very kind. Everybody laughs at them because maybe they sing badly or look a bit odd or behave in an unusual manner, particularly in the opening shows. Perhaps this can even happen here in school? Maybe someone does not wear the right brand of shoes or own the right kind of things? We should care about the person and not their clothes or their possessions.
God thinks we are all special, all valuable.

This is a new day, a new term and a new start for us all. Let us make sure that we start as we mean to go on by being kind and caring to each other and make this a happy term for everyone.
