Aim
Use idea of foundation to teach the importance of making good choices.
Opening
Hello, glad to be back, introduce the team.
Refer to recent building renovations. Foundations are unseen but important.
What is a foundation? (interact with children).
Jesus told a story about two men who put up a building -
Story of two builders
(wise man, foolish man) Children's Bible adapted version
Bring on equipment: sand, bricks etc on trays
Child 1 makes sandcastles, leaves them
Child 2 builds bricks into small structure, leaves
Child 3 pours water from watering can on to Bricks
Child 4 pours water on to sandcastles (they collapse!)
Reflection
Based on visual kids have done: have a good foundation for life, have good values. School life helps as you build up knowledge, refer to Bible and prayer for God's help. Take advice.
