Aim

Support school's value of care for environment by applying from Bible

Opening

The Bible speaks of caring for environment
Genesis 1:26

What does it mean to care for the environment? We are responsible for living things.

(Referring to on table: sweets, crisps in wrapper, empty wrappers, full water /drink bottle, empty bottle.)
When full, this is 'food' or drink; empty, it's rubbish to be thrown away.

Scenario

Black, white, purple sacks labelled paper, cans/plastic, general rubbish, attached to 3 chairs front of hall. Turn for kids to see them now.

4 children enter with crisp packet, drink can, drink bottle, balloon. Act like eating, drinking etc, then throw away object (making litter)

4 children enter as above. This time they put objects in the right sacks.

Display large photos of results of litter (seabird, hedgehog, fly-tip etc), how does our carelessness kill wildlife?

Reflection

Refer back to verse, summarise how we should care and make a difference.
