Aim
Support school's value of justice by applying from Bible.
Opening
Check children aware of justice 'value'
Interact with children about meaning of 'justice'
Use flip chart to show meanings:
(treat fairly; put right something wrong)
Parable of Unmerciful Servant : Matt 18: 23-35
Read adapted version of this while 4 children mime story (King (seated on chair), 2 servants, a 'guard')
Ask “who do you think was fair and just?”
Injustice
Some of us have lots of nice things, others are very poor.
(Example newspaper cutting about school raising money for Water Aid through Concern Universal)
Delighted to see you were helping people who need water.
Some people are left out and don't even have basics, we can always look to see who needs our help near or far away.
Another Scene
Group of 4 children prepared in advance for short scene: 3 in group, another enters from back, comes to front. Hesitates, looks shy. Group ignore, then look, reach out a hand and draw in the one alone
