Aim
Help children to value the Bible and know that God speaks to us.
Outline
Children bring forward Candle, Cross, then Bible reciting meaning.
Show BIG 'BIBLE' (cardboard), remind of last month, names inside.
Prophets
Scrolls with prophet names brought forward, stuck inside. Explanation of prophet, job, message.
"Each prophet had a message for God's people. They reminded them that they were God's special chosen people. They told them that God loved them and told them how they could live to please God."
Isaiah 7 verse 14 (adapted)
"Watch out for this. God is going to give you a sign. A young woman who is expecting a child will give birth and will call the baby Immanuel. This means 'God with us'."
Name Isaiah, wow! this prophet even told of birth of Jesus long before it happened.
