Aim
To demonstrate exactly where we can put our trust
Introduction
Referring back to last month – tolerance – pros and cons of friends – leading to us arguing as we wrote up their suggestions – story of some of Jesus’ friends who wanted to be most important.
One of the team ostentatiously put down her handbag stage front with packet of crisps sticking out.
"We’re going to need a few helpers with this next bit – nothing nasty"
Team to help pick 5 volunteers and seat them on stage in front of plate holding a few Smarties with the instruction to make sure none go missing.
"Do you think we can trust them?"
Trust Game
A trust game is played between members where one member falls back the others
"Don’t try this at home!"
As one member helps another back up, a third tries to sneakily whip crisps from the bag. The owner of the bag discovers this and is hurt.
"It was only a joke.."
Reflection
Based on Matthew 8:1-4 – who can we trust? Space for thought with acetate of shepherd and sheep
