Exploring Christian Values
3 Members of the team required (One to play part of God, One Jesus and the other the Holy Spirit)
A Possible Conversation between God and Jesus, set in heaven, with a background picture on OHP of beautiful palace. Two chairs needed, one for God and one for Jesus to sit on:
Drama
God: How wonderful it is to be here in this beautiful place.
Jesus: Yes it’s lovely here being together, I can’t think of a better place to be.
God (looking around): There’s something missing though.
Jesus: Yes I thought that, what is it?
Holy Spirit: It’s those people on earth.
God and Jesus together: Oh yes, of course.
God: We’ve sent loads of prophets, and Abraham, Moses and Elijah.
Jesus: I know and many were killed by those people on earth.
God: Well now is the time for the final answer to be put into action.
Jesus: This is the bit where I go down there and become one of them, and do everything you want me to so that they can come and live here too?
God: Yes Son that is correct.
Jesus: Ok then I’ll go.
God: You do understand what it means?
Jesus: Yes, I have to leave all this behind and I must be obedient to everything you say while I live on earth as one of them. Where do I start?
God: I have sent Gabriel, to Nazareth to Mary – a young virgin engaged to Joseph the carpenter. She is willing to become your mother.
The Stable
2 additional chairs are then brought in and the OHP changes to a stable.
2 children walk in (Mary and Joseph) holding baby Jesus and put Him in basket, reading the scripture from Luke 2 v 1-7NIV Children’s Bible.
