Children in Bible 3 (Little girl and Naaman): Believe God

Added on 11 Nov 2009

Aim

Show even a child can trust and tell about God

Introduction

2 players enter, talking(to each other)…nice to be back. Another comes from side, asks them some thing in foreign language which is not understood.

Just imagine finding yourself all alone, can't understand, being in a strange place.

2Kings 5

Bible story of little girl taken as slave to be servant to wife of Naaman. Naaman is powerful, and is in charge of king's army, but he has a terrible skin disease.

– Little girl tells mistress about Elisha, go together to Naaman (show skin etc)

– Naaman decides to go to Elisha. Gets gifts to give him a present. Travels with attendant (up and down hall). Arrives at Elisha's house

– But Elisha did not come to meet him! Sent servant to tell him go dip in Jordan river × 7 Naaman very angry! But his attendant told him to at least go and try.

– So Naaman went to river and dipped x7 times. Amazing, 7th dip, cured! So he rushed back full of joy to Elisha's house to thank him

– At Elisha's he tried to give him the presents he had brought but Elisha would not take them. God cured Naaman: He said that now he knew that God was really great.

Reflection

She was just a small girl, but she was brave and caring. She believed God/Elisha could help, so she told Naaman etc. We can help others like this.

Prayer

Song
