Which team do you choose to support? (use Vuvuzela) (Flag of winning team from Football World Cup) Reminder of value, important choices.

Bridge to Bible story
listen and think who was the one who chose well.
Bible Story: The Good Samaritan
Read this from 'Beginners Bible'; end by asking children who made the good choice? (if possible a picture on OHP)
Song Doodly-do
key line is 'do unto others as you'd want them to do to you'
Reflection
Theme 'What would Jesus do?' link this to song words and story of Good Samaritan, also to choices made as children move on to another school etc. Allow them to think about the phrase 'What would Jesus do'
Prayer
Ask children who will leave this term to raise their hands. Pray special prayer for them (plus general), eg :
'Father, we thank you that you promise to be with us and to help us. We pray especially for those here who will soon be going to a new school. We ask that you protect them, calm any worries they may have and that they will be happy and do well in the years ahead.
We thank you fro this school, for the teachers and staff and for every boy and girl here today. Bless them all and help us to enjoy our holiday and come back confident of our future. Amen'
